This spacer is required when installing a front 5 Ton Hater kit, this is the spacer required to fit the 5 ton shaft on the Meritor spindle seal
*Please note: there are multiple different styles of 5 ton axle shafts including 2 different styles of u-joint axle shafts. Some shafts like the ball and claw and A2 u-joint style shafts use a thrust washer on the stub shaft side of the axle, this thrust washer gets replaced with this seal spacer
However, some styles of axle shafts do not use a thrust washer and require a shorter seal spacer. Please verify if your axle shaft has the thrust washer or not before ordering
